Leko-TECH Drive

tech drive logo At Lekotek, we’re always looking for new ways that enable our kids to play. That’s why we’re excited to announce the 1st
Leko-TECH Drive - raising technology funds for kids with disabilities.

Computer play and exploring developmentally appropriate apps are part of every Lekotek play session. Using adapted toys, computer equipment and iPads, Lekotek provides opportunities for kids to have fun and learn along the way. Computers and tablets are a certainty in every child's future and their benefits for children with disabilities are limitless.

Help us be successful in reaching our goal to raise funds for the purchase of new technology for each of our Georgia facilities.

Technology at Lekotek

How Lekotek Families Can Benefit - Meet Camden

“Camden Our mission is centered around making sure kids with disabilities have access to the same quality games and software as every other child.

Camden is able to make choices in this "Dinner Time" game, all due to the Eye Gaze system and "Look to Learn" technology. By focusing on an image, he can select and click without having to touch the keyboard! Camden is deciding whether his friend will eat a hamburger, fruit, or a silly worm. The best part is, now he can make the choice all by himself!

Eye Gaze Technology + Look to Learn Software

“Eye Lekotek believes that learning should be motivational and fun. Eye gaze technology helps kids with disabilities access the computer simply by looking at it! The "eye gaze" system has a camera that tracks the child's pupils to determine what they're most interested in choosing on the screen.

Our kids play games with the ”Look to Learn" software, donated to Lekotek by Zygo USA . Their software makes it possible for kids to select objects on the screen simply by fixating their gaze on a target. Each activity has been specially created to provide a fun way to improve access and choice making skills.

How to Help

“Camden Lekotek’s philosophy is that every child can be successful with adaptations. Adapted toys, software and computer input devices are our tools to help any child with a disability learn through play.

Each Eye Gaze system costs $1,800 - and with you’re help, we’re hoping to purchase one for each of our satellite sites.

Every Leko-TECH Drive donation will enable us to provide kids with disabilities access to the best possible technologies.
