Play Sessions (0-8 Years)
Sessions facilitate interactive play among family members, giving youngsters with disabilities the opportunity to learn through play. Families leave with a bag of toys to borrow for the month.

Neonatal & Hospital Visits
For children hospitalized for an extended amount of time, a Lekotek leader visits the baby once a month with adapted toys to help the infant reach developmental milestones.

Compuplay (2+ Years)
Motivating computer and iPad experiences for children, teens and young adults with disabilities promotes language, literacy, cognitive and recreational skills.

Happy Tails
Families have the opportunity to explore different pets with their children in a safe environment. A great opportunity to expose him or her to gentle animals of different types.

Lekomusic (2-8 Years)
Join us for a music and movement class for children with special needs and their families. Each class has multiple activities including dancing, singing and playing instruments.

Summer Camp (4+ Years)
Camp offers a break from the "therapy" routine. Campers experience fun-filled, challenging activities that develop literacy, communication, fine motor, cognitive, and recreational abilities.

Computer Club (8-15 Years)
Kids with disabilities or special needs are invited to enjoy fun, computer games and pizza. Youngsters are welcome to bring their own software and snack. Sorry, no parents allowed.

Lekopals (15+ Years)
Leko-Pals is a club for teens and young adults that provides friendship and recreational opportunities for youngsters with special needs. Typical high school students volunteer as peer mentors.

Family Activities
Lekotek has many special family events in the community throughout the year including a trip to the pumpkin patch, the Zoo, rafting and our yearly holiday party.

Sibling Group
An opportunity for brothers and sisters of children with special needs to meet other siblings and gain support in a fun atmosphere. Sibshops are not therapy, although their effect may be therapeutic.

Support Groups
Family members of children with disabilities have the opportunity to socialize with other siblings, parents, and grandparents, to discuss common concerns, and to learn from each other.

Inclusion Project
Lekotek's inclusion project works with public and private schools to include children with special needs in typical preschool and elementary school classes.

Training & Assesment
Lekotek staff present valuable information on communication, positioning and behavior management techniques. Strong emphasis is placed on using the computer within a "play" environment.
